What is F8 Frame?
F8 Frame is an iOS and macOS app that automatically reads EXIF metadata from your photos and adds elegant camera parameter borders — showing aperture, shutter speed, ISO, focal length, camera model, and more. It's designed for photographers who want to share the story behind every shot.
Which camera brands are supported?
F8 Frame supports metadata from all major camera brands including Sony, Canon, Nikon, Fujifilm, OM System (Olympus), Leica, Panasonic, and more. If your camera model displays incorrectly, you can use the manual input feature to enter parameters yourself.
What if my photo doesn't have EXIF data?
No problem. F8 Frame includes a manual input mode where you can type in any shooting parameters you want to display — aperture, shutter speed, ISO, focal length, or any custom text. This works great for film photography or scanned images.
Can I customize the border style?
Yes, extensively. You can customize font family, font size, font color, border color, border width, photo corner radius, photo shadow, padding, and watermark (content, position, color, and size). You can also choose between a standard white border and a borderless mode where parameters appear inside the photo.
Does F8 Frame support batch export?
Yes. On macOS, you can set a custom export directory in Settings. Select all the photos you want to process and tap Export — all images will be exported to your chosen folder automatically. Batch export is a premium feature.
Is F8 Frame available on both iPhone and Mac?
Yes. F8 Frame is a universal app with native, purpose-built layouts for both iOS and macOS. The Mac version includes additional features like a dedicated export directory setting and a redesigned main interface.
What is the watermark feature?
You can add a custom watermark text to your photos with adjustable content, position, color, and size. On iOS 26 and later, F8 Frame supports a glass effect watermark for a premium look.
Does the app upload my photos anywhere?
No. All photo processing happens entirely on your device. Your photos are never uploaded to external servers. We do not collect any personal data or usage analytics.
Is there a free version?
F8 Frame offers core features for free. Batch export and certain advanced customization options are available as a premium purchase. Check the App Store listing for the latest pricing details.
